It was nice meeting you. I hope we’ll spend some time together one day with a cup of hot black coffee. Goodbye, Commander.

I have received it, Commander, thank you. Isolytic Damage is tricky, but just like everything else, it can be used to your advantage.

Voyager is great at finding Isolytic Damage artifacts, and you know where to get and how to train your officers to use Isolytic Damage.

With those two factors combined, you will become a force to reckon with. I hope you’ll put it to good use, Commander.

The Hirogen ship is disabled. Our ship has suffered more damage than I am used to calculating. I have recorded the Isolytic Damage received in our Battle Report, Commander.

Just as Captain Janeway explained, it surpassed all of our mitigation stats, but with the knowledge of its influence on our shields and hull, we can learn to mitigate it – or inflict it on hostiles.

Great job, Commander. I hope that Isolytic Damage will help you in the future, whether as an improved technique from an artifact or a trained hand of an officer.

I’d love to spend more time with you and visit Earth again, but even though I’m a hologram, I am a Starfleet Officer above all, and I should stick to my designation.

And as I‘ve completed my task – to teach you all I currently know about Isolytic Damage – I ask you to return to the Installation and initiate my deactivation.

Lieutenant Torres, we are back with the artifact you mentioned. It has unusual properties, just as you explained. Sending you all the information I can extract from its shards.

It should be enough to extract something valuable. In the meantime, Commander, how about a bit of practice?

The artifacts are pretty influential, but they can only do so much without a well-trained officer. So I talked with the crew, and we decided to send you one of our holograms for an on-hand lesson.

Captain Kathryn Janeway, or, to be precise, a hologram of Captain Kathryn Janeway. Nice to finally meet you, Commander. Let’s make our acquaintance quick and effective.

Lieutenant, do we have a target to test Isolytic Damage with?

We first encountered the Isolytic damage when a Hirogen ship attacked us in Krenim space, and later on, we stumbled upon an artifact. I never connected the dots, but it seems obvious now.

That Hirogen was hunting for the artifacts to improve his weapons. Voyager had to retreat then, but with our current expertise, that would be a perfect target.

Finding that Hirogen will be an issue. They are nomadic, and it’s practically impossible to track them down – unless someone managed to place a beacon on the ship during the fight.
