Beautiful! Fits like a charm! Now that I’ve got the upgrade installed, I just need you to sign it off for me in the Ship Hangar.

The crew is trying their best to stay positive, but everyone can see the cracks forming. Even the Captain isn’t acting like himself anymore.

Commander, Montgomery’s work has allowed me to interface with more of the Franklin’s systems. I am now able to access the earlier log entry…

First Officer’s log. Stardate: 2165.3. The Franklin ran out of fuel two weeks ago. We were forced to make an emergency landing on a Class-M planet or risk complete life support system failure.

We were lucky to find this planet when we did. The ship’s systems have it tagged as Altamid. Its atmosphere is breathable and we’ve found at least two sources of fresh water.

Our only problem right now is food. We have yet to find any flora or fauna that we can confirm as safe to eat. The doctor is out with a recon team right now.

The crew is taking everything in their stride. Many of them are excited, actually. This is a whole new world to explore. It’s the reason we signed up for this mission in the first place.

Our distress beacon is set to loop. I’m confident that Starfleet will eventually pick up our signal and extract us. I’m sure we won’t be here long.

I think I’ve got the solution for that. The Franklin’s Warp Conduit is all but worn out. I’ve got a replacement lined up, but I’ve run into a problem with its fueling apparatus.

I think we’ll need some better machinery for this job. The Astronautics Studio would have what we need, if you can get it upgraded.
