Captain Spock
Some men, they say, are destined for greatness.
Spock’s unprecedented career would only continue to grow after the Enterprise’s five-year mission came to an end. He returned to Vulcan to undergo the Kolinahr ritual, in order to purge himself of all emotion.
However, he would be forced to abandon the ritual in order to, once again, join the Enterprise on a mission of galactic peace. He, along with the rest of the crew, solved the V’ger crisis, and Spock was once more shown the power that empathy and friendship can hold.
Choosing not to forsake emotions, Spock instead returned to Starfleet Academy, where he was promoted to Captain. There, he spends his days training cadets, ensuring that the future of Starfleet remains bright.
They say some men are destined for greatness. If you asked Spock, he would tell you that he was simply in the right place at the right time. Any other suppositions are merely… illogical.
