Benjamin Sisko

During his seven-year tenure aboard Deep Space Nine, Captain Benjamin Sisko cemented his legacy as one of the most influential officers ever to serve in Starfleet. Following his discovery of the Bajoran Wormhole and subsequent appointment as the Emissary of the Prophets, the seeds of Sisko’s reputation were planted during his initial few weeks spent in the Bajor sector. In due time, Sisko would become known as a decorated officer, respected commander, and cunning strategist who played a critical role in the Dominion War. As a result of his actions, Captain Sisko would come to be adored by the Bajorans and loathed by the Cardassians in equal measure.

Although Sisko made a name for himself in the Bajor sector, his assignment there was not by request, and his reputation was earned through hard graft rather than being granted by time spent in the uniform. Instead, he would find himself stationed there following an increasingly-tumultuous series of events, which culminated in the loss of his beloved wife, Jennifer, during the fateful Battle of Wolf 359. The next few months would prove tumultuous for Sisko, as he came to terms with the idea of life without his wife, and raising his son, Jake, alone. Perhaps sensing that he was on the verge of resignation, Sisko’s former captain, Leyton, would personally nominate Sisko for a command position. It was this nomination that would lead Sisko to oversee the reclamation of Deep Space Nine from the Cardassians, while also acting as a liaison for the Bajorans as they prepared themselves for entry into the Federation.

A decorated and celebrated fleet commander, whose reputation and victories will forever be etched in the annals of Starfleet history, Captain Sisko remains capable of leading any given fleet to a decisive victory.
