So, that’s what happened to his family. I was aware that Venonn was once a ward of the Federation, but I never knew the circumstances regarding how he came to be so.

As a matter of fact, I have. Not much though, I’m afraid. Venonn was born on Vulcan on Stardate 2256.3, just under two years before the planet’s destruction.

According to our archives, Venonn was off-planet in the care of a Federation medical facility at the time. His entire family was killed during the destruction of Vulcan.

Consequently, Venonn was made a ward of the Federation, and was assigned to the care of Federation representatives until coming of age to join Starfleet Academy.
