Officers
FCM Data
CLASS: Command
GROUP: FIRST CONTACT MOVIE
FACTION: BORG
Lieutenant Commander Data is a true member of the Enterprise-E crew. Adventurous, imaginative, and idealistic, this Soong-type android has become as close to a human as anyone can. Surrounded by friends, he, in turn, became a great friend himself, earning the trust and loyalty of his fellow crew members. He will follow them wherever – or whenever – they go, and protect them at all costs.
And yet, Data is not a Human. When Picard’s crew followed the Collective into the past, the Borg Queen intended to use his desire to become a Human to turn Lieutenant Commander into her asset and ensure the failure of the Enterprise-E mission. She tried to sway him into obedience and join her side by grafting organic flesh to his body and abusing his emotion chip with raw, vivid feelings. And yet, there is one part of Data that nobody has ever managed to take control of – loyalty.
No matter the time, space, or challenge that he needs to overcome, Lieutenant Commander Data will always come back to rescue his crewmates, to protect his friends, and to stand by his family.
